Fields of application

Preparation

Neolastic Trafficable Expansion Joint Waterproofing System is a heavy duty expansion joint waterproofing system that can be flush mounted or surface mounted.

Neolastic Trafficable Expansion Joint Waterproofing System consists of a butyl rubber waterproofing membrane, EPDM compression seal and 3mm mild steel-reinforced EPDM trafficable nosings. The system is secured using Stainless Steel studs and washers.

The system is suitable across a wide range of structures such as parking decks, loading bays, roadways, basement parking structures and bridge decks. It can be laid on flat horizontal surfaces as well as slopes, horizontally to the traffic flow and where vehicles will be stationery.

Concrete surfaces must be clean and free from dust, grease, water, oil and other contaminants impairing adhesion. Edges of the joint and recess must be level. Concrete should be at least four weeks old.

Asphalt surfaces to receive Neolastic Expansion Joint System must be cleaned to provide a flat surface that is free from contaminants. Asphalt surfaces should be smooth and level across the joint.
